- Grainger to Acquire Fabory
August 15, 2011 — W.W. Grainger, Inc. plans to acquire European fastener distributor Fabory Group for US$344 million, reports The Chicago Tribune.
The Netherlands-based Fabory, which sells 80,000 products in 14 countries, had revenues of about $300 million in 2010. Grainger said it plans for Fabory to continue to operate as a separate business, keeping its name and brand. The acquisition is expected to close in the third quarter.
