- Study: Hand Hygiene Lacking in European Workplaces
September 7, 2011 — A recent European study found that hand hygiene standards are severely lacking, with a high percentage of workers failing to wash their hands after a visiting the restroom, reports www.europeancleaningjournal.com.
More than 70 percent of the men and 60 percent of the women surveyed in all countries did not wash their hands after visiting the restroom. The survey was carried out by service provider Initial and surveyed 6,000 workers in France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom .
