- SCA Acquires Chilean Hygiene Company

April 20, 2012 — SCA has purchased the remaining 50 percent of shares in Chilean hygiene company Papeles Industriales S.A. (PISA).
In 2003, SCA purchased 50 percent ownership of PISA, which currently has more than 400 employees and a production facility in Santiago, Chile. The purchase price for the additional shares, which gives SCA full ownership, was reported to be approximately US$77 million.
