- BCC Emphasizes Hand Hygiene During London Olympics
March 7, 2012 — British Cleaning Council (BCC) Chairman Mark Woodhead has issued a statement urging the practise of proper hand hygiene during the London 2012 Olympic Games.
In addition to regular hand washing, the BCC advised the use of special protective hand foam as an extra barrier to germ transmission. The BCC also recommended that competing athletes avoid shaking people’s hands to prevent the spread of germs.
